Nice little bakery coffee shop on the beach in North Beach. Not a huge selection and can be a little tight for seating of anything is happening in town. We've always had good service.

Delicious sandwiches, friendly staff, quick service, lots of options. Their fraps are better then Starbucks!

Very good iced coffee. They have soy options. Beautiful location and lots of outdoor seating. Extensive bakery... Great croissants!

Sweet Sue's did our cake for our wedding at Herrington on the Bay. The cake was amazing. Meagan and her team of professionals were amazing at setting up our cake and even put brown sugar around to resemble sand. The quality of the cake was delicious and held together beautifully. We are freezing the extra top layer of the cake for our 1 year anniversary. Everyone gave us so many compliments on the cake. I highly recommend them!

Not bad. Not great. Par for the area. Not that many bakeries in the area, so I'll go back occasionally. Service is good. Space is tight. Location is quaint. Food is par.

We are building our dream home across the Walton Beach isthmus. A short walk into the Town of North Beach leads you to Sweet Sue's. We LOVE this establishment. The coffee and sandwiches are inviting, delicious and priced-right. It so cool to see the bicyclers pull up to enjoy a refreshing stop at Sweet Sue's. This is the heart of North Beach. -Jay ['Three Pines']

Great for a cup of coffee and pastry or sandwich. Can eat right there or take for a beach picnic. The eclairs are dangerous, make sure you bring help! Is so nice to have a great bakery so close!

Sweet Sues is a family owned gem at the Beach. Freshest salads, sandwiches, coffees, smoothies, and the baked good are beyond delicious. I've never had cheesecake this declicious in my life! Cant wait to go back!

This place has the most delicious chocolate eclairs I've ever had, and I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur! Other sweets are also good--I think that's what they do best. Although the selection is somewhat limited, the sandwiches and coffee are also pretty good.

Went there for breakfast, before hitting the beach. The service is awesome. The breakfast sandwich was very tasty. They had a wide selection of bake good, that were all made there and also looked very tasty.

Local business with great food and strong community ties. Had a dip in service for a bit about a year ago, but back to great food and service. Would be nice if it was open a little later for after dinner coffee and cake, but all around good place!

Having just moved to the area, I was very hopeful the neighborhood bakery would be something special. Unfortunately, it was not. I give it two stars. Here is the breakdown Pro's: - Cute name Con's: - Terrible service. Girls in there act like you are bothering them. A complete turnoff for ever wanting to come back. - Bakery selection - - what is up with the lack of choices? I have never seen so few bakery items for sale IN A BAKERY. Seriously, there must have been no more than 10 things to choose from. - Ordered an egg/bacon/cheese bagel - - bagel was terrible...dry...hard. I've had better bagels in the frozen food section of the grocery store. This is supposed to be a bakery where such things are delicious. Not so here. Wife ordered something similar which was equally as bad. CONCLUSION: Sweet Sue's should be called Sub-par Sue's. Can someone please call Robert Irvine and get him down to fix this place? The owner needs to better train her staff, provide more variety, and produce better tasting food.

Since writing my last review I haven't been to Sweet Sue's. Last Tuesday at 8:30 am I popped in (because Blondie's was closed) for a coffee and croissant or scone or something. The case was virtually empty save brownies and a few randomly scattered cookies. I asked if this was all they had and the super helpful (please read that as sarcasm) girl behind the counter said "um yeah, we're baking now". Really? At 8:30 on a Tuesday you have nothing breakfast like available for people who come in? That's ridiculous. It's a bakery. Get there early and have items ready for your customers.

Prices are too high, the service is horrible, their pastries and food even worse.... Why people come here? Because their are very little choices around... How do you screw up as a pastry shop? They serve old stuff which isn't good to begin with... Their sandwiches and other food? thrown together from frozen to the microwave...hope they close soon ... and a good shop opens in its place-- in the mean time go to Honey harvest for people that care about what they serve!

I recently ordered a cake from Sue's for a baby shower. The ordering process was smooth and they were patient with me as a "ho'ed and hum'ed" over the design, what to have written on it, etc. I chose an almond raspberry cake with whatever frosting was recommended for it. I think the cake turned out really well and was tasty. The filling was plentiful. The frosting seemed to be quite traditional, sugar-filled and not my favorite, as I prefer more of a whip cream light taste. Overall, I was very pleased. I've also had a couple of the sandwiches and baked goods here. The sandwiches are good, although nothing that has rocked my socks. We've had some cookies and scones which are also good, but nothing I'd come running back for. Mainly, I think Sweet Sue's is a gem to have at the beach. This business has made it work and I love coming by on the weekend and seeing everyone sitting in the cafe tables outside.

Great coffee. Mediocre scone. The white chocolate raspberry had a good flavor but it wasn't hard/dense/crumbly enough for a scone. Cute place though for sure.

Bakery goods not so great...iced coffee was good. We really came for coffee which was fine..but the slices of cake tasted old and were overpriced.

Excellent gluten free selection. My wife has celiac's and we have tried several gluten free bakeries and Sweet Sue's has them all beat hands down. I feel sorry for my wife because gluten free products are noticeably different in their taste and texture. With Sweet Sue's I can't tell the difference between the regular and the gluten free.

This place is so charming and the baked goods I've had are fantastic. There is something good to be said for small mom and pop type bakeries with great coffee where you can sit outdoors and enjoy the flavors of small town America. It was a fun and tasty experience!!

We usually grab a coffee and breakfast (and the occasional lunch sandwich) here when in North Beach. The coffee is good, and changes frequently. Breakfast sandwiches are all microwaved, and bagels are meh, but hey, it's the beach and its close for a snack. I can get past most of the so so food. But (and i was really glad to see someone else mention it) the service is AWFUL. Whoever owns this place need to take their staff in the backroom and have a "come to jesus" talk with them about service with a smile. I go there what, once a year, and so when I ask about a certain coffee or type of bagel, I get a response of "those are the only coffees we HAVE", or "we dont CARRY sesame bagels". Wow. Really? The ladies behind the counter (usually the younger ones) are snippy, and have attitude. If they hate their job, then quit. but treat your customers a bit better.

Oh my; the food was excellent...the food was 5 stars. The complete disorganized, total chaos event of ordering and getting your food...1 star; so I settled for a 3. We almost walked out. The food is fantastic, but folks, it ain't all about the food.

One of my customers informed me that he and his wife just recently purchased Sweet Sue's so I decided to drop by Sunday morning to try his coffee and grab a Cannoli. Alas... they were sold out of cannolis so I grabbed a breakfast sandwich and split an eclair with my brother. Man oh man was I impressed! The croissant was fresh and crisp and the bacon was cooked to perfection! The eclair will give Walls Bakery a run for their money and the Black Raven coffee made me think of my mothers old percolated coffee from years ago! I read some of the previous reviews about the prior owners and I can tell you my experience was nothing short of fantastic! The place was clean, the staff was very friendly, and well you just got done reading my review of the food. I have definately found my new weekend hangout and I suggest you give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I frequent Sweet Sue's and have no complaints thus far! Their lattes and coffee drinks are good and the flavor of coffee changes daily which is nice. I've had a few sandwiches that were nothing special, but always good and fresh. They run specials often, so it changes things up a bit. They have different soups everyday in the winter and I haven't had one I didn't like. The staff here is very friendly and I always leave feeling good and satisfied. There are always new faces but all are upbeat and enthusiastic. I have only ordered cakes a few times over the years and each time they were FANTASTIC. And fresh! I come in to order with a crazy idea in my head and the way they make it happen for me is awesome. Being under new ownership is helping this place a lot. Just the other day I came in and was happy to learn of new tables and chairs to be ordered soon. The ones in the lobby now are terrible. The fresh paint on the walls really brightens up the place as well. Keep up the good food and service! This shop is a staple for my family and I.

I visited once before this is my first formal review (5/30/15). The bake shop is bright & display case filled w/ a small selection of cakes, pies & quiches. The cookies & muffins are displayed on cake pedestals. The chocolate chip cookies (big cookie) & lemon poppyseed muffins got my attention. The cookie while tender w/rich chocolate chip flavor lacked butter flavor & created an off taste think commercial baked cookie. The lemon poppy seed muffin tender, dense texture, tasty glaze nice lemon flavor overall.

Yummy, creamy caramel lattes. Kind of expensive--$10 for two smalls. Nice location and friendly employees.

Customer service is lacking with the 'variety' of customers. I thought maybe it was just me but the 2nd time I went with my husband he didn't get the great service we saw the others getting either. I Love supporting local small places but don't like being treated like I'm 2nd class. The coffee is good but pricey and if I'm gonna pay extra I want to be treated better. The pastry is good I've only had a muffin and would love to have indulged more but after the 2nd time I told myself even Starbucks treats their customers better!! Sorry just being honest ...

Great coffee and pasties. Space is a little cramped, but a nice little local place instead of a starbucks or Dunkin
